A Poets first step

hey fellow teens!!! Just woke up an djust had a nice omlet and some bacon with WAFFLES!!!! the first time in about a month since I had waffles. I was looking through my  poetry porfolio for school and please tell me if this sounds okay.

                                                      Ode To Music

The rhythmical beat of the eardrums,
smoothing to the music,
like two lovers walzting.
A toast to the electronic therapist,
who understands my emotions.
To the different geners that roam through my mind,
browsing through the selections.

A toast to the everlasting drone of your voice,
going with the flow of it,
sometimes you feel like,
you want to hold onto it forever,
strong & brave, the sway of each second,
like grasping for your last breath,
savoring it forever.
To the lyrics that form to create a meaning,
that grabs your attention.
To the feeling of relaxation,
that sets your mind free.

A ode to music,
for bringing life a new meaning,
for adding on history in the making,
for creating icons we adore,
from pop, gospel, rock, hip-hop, and jazz,
we raise a glass to you as a token of our grattitude,
for those moments,
you made feel alive again.

  Well there it is. It's not the finished version but PLEASE, opinions mean a lot for me. (especially since, I have a poetry slam next week)
